Founder Benjamin Lipson has been flying and instructing for well over a decade. Beginning at the age of 17 as an amateur pilot and aircraft fueler, he worked his way up to the airline industry, flying for SkyWest Airlines for more than four years. In this position, he received type ratings in the CRJ 200, 700, and 900 aircraft. His zeal for general aviation led him to found Lipson Aviation where he can assist others in meeting their aviation goals. He holds CFI, CFII, MEI, and ATP ratings, as well as a bachelor’s degree in aviation science from Utah Valley University. Additional type ratings include the Citation Mustang (C510) and SIC privileges in the Citation M2 (C525). Benjamin is also qualified to fly the Daher Socata TBM lineup, the King Air 90 series, and is a qualified CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot).

Benjamin and his wife, Carrie, live in Ontario, California with their Great Dane, Lily. Carrie also holds a Private Pilot Certificate and works as a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines. Together they operate Lipson Aviation out of Brackett Airfield. Benjamin, Carrie, and Lily enjoy hiking around Southern California in their free time and traveling around the world.
